Possibly one of the worst hosting services there are. No matter how long you've been a customer, you're treated like garbage. They have no loyalty to customers, and customer service deserves a 0/5. 100% of the times when issues ca...Leer másme up, it took them forever to resolve (sometimes several days). They always send a list of copy/paste steps for you to do, and claim nothing is their problem. Huh?

I was a long standing customer for over a decade, and they took my education site offline, and wouldn't activate my account. It's pure theft. That company is run by criminals. Stay away.Menos

This is just unacceptable. I've had a site on byethost for several years. It's a personal site, no public access so I'm the only one using it. I hadn't accessed it for 30 days, apparently, so they sent me an email saying they'd de...Leer máslete the site in two days unless I clicked a reset link. When I clicked the link, I found that my site was already gone.

I sent an email to support and have gotten no response.

Fortunately I had all my data backed up locally and didn't lose anything. If I hadn't done that, I'd have lost everything. I cannot recommend this service to anyone, and I strongly recommend against it. Having your entire site disappear one day without warning is not acceptable.Menos

It is a very unreliable service as accounts are automatically and randomly removed without notifications to the users. I had created an account and it was stable for many years but since about two years ago, they must have changed...Leer más their policy (either that or technical incompetence on their part), either way, accounts deleted without notifications is unacceptable and shameful. Plan de Hosting free ni para hacer pruebas sirve, te suspenden la cuenta por 24 horas en 2 veces, la 3ra ya totalmente suspendida. solamente llegas al cpanel,. no lo recomiendo.

They seriously provide best service to the customer. They timely answered and solved my issues many times and I never had to wait for their help. I got good recommendations to select best hosting provider like Hostgator, Domain racer, and Blue Host which also provide good support like byet host.

El servicio en sí va bien para ser gratuito, el problema es q te suspenden el hosting por todo, por actualizar un plugin de wp, por modificar un script, por tener algunas visitas. Con lo cual no sirve para nada ya q apenas esta m...Leer mási blog online, pq enseguida te dicen q has superado en nivel permitido de uso de cpu, o algúna otra cuestión, y es muy muy fácil q esto ocurra. Es patético porque sucede con cualquier uso mínimo q le des a tu WordPress. Y lo gracioso del asunto es q la suspensión es solamente dirigir el tráfico de tu sitio web, a unos anuncios publicitarios suyos durante 24 horas cada vez, lo cual te da una idea de porqué te suspenden tanto el servicio, porque les haces publicidad gratis a costa de tu tráfico web. Sinceramente prefiero q me pongan un banner suyo en mi web a q me hagan una guarrada así y mi blog apenas este tiempo online, esto no es free hosting es un timo para aprovecharse ellos de tu trabajoMenos

Modifcacion de la opinion anterior, el servicio ya es muy malo

Resumiendo el ssl free que te dan en el free host, es mentira, solo te lo dan con un paquete premium.
Han reducido el limite de uso de cpu de los free hosting y ya...Leer más no funcionan los plugin de backup. Pensaba que era el mio que no funcionaba bien, upgraftplus, pero no, al intentar instalar otros, en todos me da fallo updated failed, logre instalar el duplicator backup, y al intentar crear el backup, me dio un fallo

Server Status: 500 -Internal Server Error

Se lo comente a soporte tecnico de byethosting y sorpresa, me dijeron que si quería poner un plugin gratuito de backup tenia que comprar el paquete premium ( cuando hasta hace dos semanas funcionaba mi plugin de backup perfectamente ).

Backup plugins by their nature are very intensive on the disks on the server, and cpu's we give on free hosting a very limited amount of cpu and disk to accomodate the 00000's of users running on the service. If you wanted to use a backup plugin to automate backups a premium hosting account would be my reccomendation.
